Welcome to the University of Bonn!

We are pleased that you decided to attend the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University and welcome you as a new student in Bonn. On this page you will find general information about living in Bonn as well as specific information about our social support program for foreign students offered by the International Office. If you have questions regarding your stay in Bonn you can always get help from our help desk!

Summer term 2012:

New: Insights for International Master Students in Bonn
This brochure will help you to find your way around the university in Bonn: There is general information on university life as well as on preparation for your studies and how to manage the administrative processes of your program.

Good news: the tuition fees have been abolished up to the winter term 2011/12 !!

Intercultural Workshops (in English language)

For international and German students, a two day - intercultural workshop is offered by the International Office! This workshop takes place from 9 a.m--5 p.m. at the International Club and costs 10 Euros.

German language classes for international students without DSH

These courses are open to regular students who were not required to present a German language certificate upon enrolment. These courses are free of charge.Please find more information on this website: http://www3.uni-bonn.de/studying/international-students/german/german-courses?set_language=en

International choir

If you like to join our international choir with German and international students just let us know. The rehearsal will take place in the International Club each Monday evening during the semester!

Location: International Club, Poppelsdorfer Allee 53
Date: Monday evening from 8-10 p.m. during the semester.
First rehearsal in the summer term: April 2
