Whilst flicking through the testimonials
written by UNSW students who had been to Germany (which didn’t include
Bonn, for some reason), I noticed that nearly every testimonial said
that Germans are unfriendly, impolite and direct.

I’m starting to get myself ready for the law exams, which are all closed-book in Germany (in Australia, you can take all your notes and all your books in with you). “Oh God… closed book? I. Would. Die,” a UNSW friend who also studies law encouragingly said to me when I skyped with her earlier this week.(more...) |

Do that Orientation Program. Seriously. On the Uni Bonn website, it says: “For exchange students, participation in the Orientation Course is optional”. If you take anything away from any blog post I do, it should be this: the Orientation Course is an absolute must. You skip it, you miss out on making around 150 new best friends in a month, and you miss out on making yourself at home. (more...) |
