Renewable Energy: Policy and Development

July 1 – August 4, 2015

Hofgarten Trees

The University of Bonn, Northwestern and Arcadia Universities

invite excellent undergraduates to an interdisciplinary program on renewable energy. The program introduces students to numerous facets of renewable energy policy and development as responses to today’s climate and energy problems. Students will explore and discuss politics and technologies with professionals from the respective fields. Bonn is closely associated with renewable energy and is a hub for institutions in global policy-making such as 19 UN agencies and international think tanks. Its location allows to draw on a range of well-known institutions like the National Research Center Jülich.

The program offers:

  • a 1,5 day workshop on German culture at the beginning of the program, complemented by cultural visits and excursions throughout the program
  • a Buddy Program to interact with German students from the University of Bonn and experience hands-on campus life in Germany
“I learned so much about renewable energy and made so many great friends. I couldn’t have chosen a better way to spend my summer.”
